Welcome

Welcome to Prince of Peace!

God Is at Work

Welcome to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church! Thank you for visiting our webpage. We welcome you to worship with us. Our church believes and teaches the whole of God’s Word in its truth and purity, and administers the Sacraments according to the commands of Christ Jesus. We worship and serve together the Triune God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We are a part of the Southeastern District (SED) of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod (LCMS) which is a regional district of the LCMS with 213 congregations and 87 school ministries. Learn more about the LCMS here.

Our Mission Statement

Members of Prince of Peace Lutheran Congregation, we are agents on a mission for God. We have been sent to bring God’s salvation, with all that word means in Holy Scripture, to people in need of God’s love. We have been sent to bring deliverance from sin and evil, healing, renewal, release from the prisons of life, wholeness and quality of life. This task is given to the Church, God’s people, and therefore to everyone who is a member of the Body of Christ, to each and every one of us who has been baptized into Jesus Christ. God’s mission is to reach out to the whole world, therefore the local gathering of God’s people must be reaching inwardly to minister to its own members, and then outwardly to minister to the local community, then the greater community, and finally the whole world must be included in our concern and effort. All that we do as Prince of Peace Lutheran Congregation must be focused on accomplishing this mission.

What to Expect

424 Kings Grant Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23452

Arrival Time

Worship Style
Worship is an important time when God connects us to himself and his family. We follow a pattern of worship designed to keep Jesus in the center and involve everyone in praying, hearing, and singing. The orders of service used provide variety while using phrases right out of the Bible. These orders also connect us to Christians around the world and are not hard to learn. Our worship is often enhanced by gifted choirs and instrumentalists.

Children in Worship
Children are always welcome to worship with their family but if they get fussy or restless, we have a staffed nursery. Just ask an usher for help finding this location!

Teaching Style
You’ll connect to a Christ-centered message straight from the Bible during each of our services and Bible studies.
