Our History
Find out more about our story beginning as a mission congregation planted by Trinity Lutheran Church, Norfolk in 1961.
Our Beliefs
Our congregation accepts and preaches the Bible-based teachings of Martin Luther that inspired the reformation of the Christian Church in the 16th century, summarized in three phrases: Grace alone, Faith alone, Scripture alone.
Our Lutheran Identity
We are Lutherans affiliated with the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod and included in the Southeastern District of LCMS.
We worship our Lord, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Within the fellowship of the church, God the Holy Spirit is at work to build our faith in God and love for each other. The historic liturgy points us to God, gives focus for worship and connects us with the Apostolic faith. The sermon points us to our Lord Jesus Christ who died and rose again to win the victory over sin and death. Our prayers encourage each other as we face the challenges of life and faith.
Faith in God is a gift of the Holy Spirit at work in us through Word and Sacrament. God brings us faith when we hear His Word preached (Romans 10:17). God joins us to Jesus’ victory over sin and death in Baptism (Romans 6:1-14). Jesus is present for us in Holy Communion to bring us new life (Matthew 26:26-29).
Martin Luther was a dedicated student of Scripture. There he learned that Jesus died on the cross to bring us forgiveness of sins, lead us to peace with God and fill us with love and joy in His name. As fellow students of Scriptures and disciples of our Lord, one of the greatest joys we have is to share God’s love with others.

We are a play-based learning preschool, focused on the investigative process and problem solving. We use an emergent curriculum, following the interests of the children to direct the learning in the classroom. Teachers incorporate specific skills, such as fine and gross motor development, literacy and numeracy practice, and social and emotional growth into the process of investigating and creating.
