Kelly Montgomery, contralto will perform with  Oksana Lutsyshyn, piano at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church on September 9 at 4 PM. Its free and open to the public. Prince of Peace Lutheran Church is located at 424 Kings Grant Road, Virginia Beach VA. For the information call at 757-340-8420.

About the guest artist: KELLY MONTGOMERY, a contralto on the voice faculty of Old Dominion University located in Norfolk, Virginia, USA has also served on the faculties of Ithaca College, Pittsburg State University, and Mississippi State University. Dr. Montgomery’s career includes feature performances in professional concert tours throughout the Middle East, Asia, and Europe, in addition to regional performances with Cincinnati Opera, New York Baroque, Virginia Beach Musical Theatre, Des Moines Metro Opera, Indiana University Opera Theater, Symphonicity Orchestra Virginia Beach, and Bloomington Music Works among others. She has performed recitals and presented lectures for the Music Teacher’s National Association (Eastman School of Music) and the College Music Society (Ithaca College, NY), in addition to performances and master classes given in Ireland and Canada. An alumna of Indiana University Jacob School of Music (Doctor of Music 2011), her esteemed teachers include Virginia Zeani, James King, Carol Smith, and Carlos Montané. Additionally, her portfolio includes 1st and 2nd place prizes from regional and district Metropolitan Opera Auditions in addition to positive professional reviews from Opera News and Opera Canada.
